These are the goals that the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program helps fulfill.

Employees of companies who partner with SAGE can earn guaranteed college scholarships for use at nearly 450 private colleges and universities across the United States, for their children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews.

Employees can earn rewards by participating in select voluntary benefits enrollment events, or by electing coverage from a participating national health insurer such as Guardian, Highmark, Independence Blue Cross, United Concorida, or others. Rewards can also be earned based upon employer provided retirement accounts such as a 401k or 403b or profit-sharing.

Advantages for Employers

  • No Employer Investment Liability: Tuition Rewards are not SEC investments. They are scholarships — discounts off full tuition — given by participating colleges. The program has passed legal scrutiny from 2 state treasury departments, insurance companies, banks, mutual fund companies, etc.
  • Cost-Effective Employee Benefit: Participating firms pay only a small annual fee, not the cost of the scholarships. Colleges simply agree to accept less than full tuition. Fees to employers begin at $850 per year for companies with fewer than 75 employees.
  • FastTrak®: What would happen if the colleges applied to your employees’ students instead of employees’ students applying to colleges? SAGE Scholars has found a better way to match highly qualified SAGE Scholars students with institutions that best align with their unique learning goals. With FastTrak, all employees’ student family members can be directly recruited by member colleges & universities!
  • SAGE Prime®: With SAGE Prime, all employees are eligible to receive discounts of at least 10% off of continuing and non-traditional education programs offered by select member colleges & universities. Unlike Tuition Rewards, which is for use at the undergraduate level, SAGE Prime is geared towards adult program members. Available programs vary by school but generally include degree completion, graduate education, and professional certificates.
  • SAGE Secure®: All of your employees are eligible for SAGE Secure. SAGE Secure is the first no-cost accidental death benefit for the family of students enrolled in one of the over 435 SAGE Scholars member colleges and universities nationwide. SAGE Secure is designed to help prevent the student from suffering financially and possibly dropping out of college if their family’s primary wage earner dies from an accidental bodily injury.
  • Minimal Work for Employers: Tuition Rewards is a paperless process. Other than distributing materials to employees and sending us employee enrollment information (with your employees’ approval), we do all the work! Tracking, maintaining, reporting to colleges, answering participants’ questions are our responsibilities.

I could not believe that this program was available to me…
