Palm Beach Atlantic University, where seven undergraduates have been selected as Fulbright Scholars in the past four years, has joined the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program. The prestigious Fulbright program, operating under the U.S. Department of State, sends recent graduates of American institutions abroad for study, cultural ambassadorship, intellectual exchange and service work.
Dedicated to the integration of Christian principles to prepare students for learning, leadership and service., Palm Beach Atlantic offers 55 undergraduate degrees, numerous graduate degrees and professional degrees in nursing and pharmacy on a 29-acre campus in West Palm Beach adjacent to the intracoastal waterway, a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. A 12:1 student-faculty ratio enables the nearly 3,800 undergraduates to enjoy an average class size of 17.
In June, The University signed a letter of intent with Cleveland Clinic Florida to develop a campus health sciences center to "educate and train the next generation of healthcare providers." The University foresees exceptional internship opportunities for nursing, pharmacy and other students. PBA has recently added a new major in fine arts. A TV studio on campus trains communication majors.
PBA students have volunteered 3.3 million hours of service through Workship, a local community service initiative to change lives. Sailfish athletes compete in 18 NCAA Division II and Sunshine State Conference varsity sports.
Founded in 1968, Palm Beach Atlantic is the 18th Florida private college and the 66th affiliate of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities to participate in Tuition Rewards.
