Kalamazoo College, which ranks in the top 2% of all U.S. colleges and universities for the proportion of graduates who go on to earn a research doctorate degree, according to the National Science Foundation, has become the 17th Michigan private college to join the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program.
According to the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education 2022 College Rankings, K is the top-ranked private college in Michigan - based on the campus environment, student engagement and student outcomes.
Founded in 1833 on a campus 35 miles from Lake Michigan and 140 miles from Chicago and Detroit, Kalamazoo boasts an impressive 81.5% four-year graduation rate. 70% of the 1,500 students participate in an immersive study-abroad program that boasts 56 options in 29 countries.
The College's innovative K-Plan allows students to customize their own education, including career-development internships and social justice leadership options. The culmination of learning at K is the "Senior Integrated Project" in which students explore a subject of their own choosing, completing an in-depth, graduate-level research thesis, performance or creative work.
Kalamazoo is the 23rd member of Colleges That Change Lives to participate in Tuition Rewards.
