Eckerd College (St. Petersburg, FL) Joins Tuition Rewards

Against a backdrop of palm trees and blue water, Eckerd is an much-acclaimed educational innovator. PC Magazine and The Princeton Review named Eckerd #7 on its list of "Top 20 Wired Colleges for 2008." For the quality of the freshman year experience, Eckerd has been rated one of 13 "Institutions of Excellence in the First College Year." One of only 40 schools listed in Loren Pope's book, "Colleges That Change Lives," Eckerd is among just six Florida colleges offering a Phi Beta Kappa chapter.
Students can study in-depth in 40 different majors – including Chinese, East Asian Studies, Environmental Studies, Theatre, Visual Arts, and Women’s & Gender studies -- or design their own interdisciplinary concentrations. About 10% of students major in Marine Science - with concentrations in marine biology, marine chemistry, marine geology or marine geophysics. Annually, Eckerd students typically provide 55,000 hours of community service. Founded in 1958, Eckerd is related by covenant to the Presbyterian Church (USA).
