Registration for Tuition Rewards through Common Sense Companies is handled directly by your Common Sense Companies Associate.

He or she will pre-register you for Tuition Rewards, and you will receive an email with a special registration link and instructions.

What are Tuition Rewards?

Tuition Rewards is a unique rewards program, offered by employers, health insurers, financial institutions, and non-profits, to address American families’ number one financial concern — a college education for their children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Each Tuition Rewards Point represents a guaranteed minimum scholarship (discount) equivalent to one dollar, with a maximum discount of up to one year’s tuition, spread equally over 4 years of full-time undergraduate education. The number of Points redeemed determine the minimum, guaranteed tuition discount a student can receive at over 455 SAGE Scholars colleges and universities. The student may receive more — but cannot receive less.

If I register, how will I earn Tuition Rewards?

After completing registration, we send you a "Welcome" email with a special registration link and instructions. Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive your one-time registration bonus of 1,000 points and your 3,000 annual points for the first year. In addition, each eligible student that you add -- either during registration, or after logging into your activated account -- will also receive a 1,000 point registration bonus!

How do I collect the annual points?

Simple! If, after your initial meeting with a Common Sense Companies associate you become a client, you will receive 3,000 points each year on the anniversary date of your account activation. If you elect not to become a client, then you will have a total of 5,000 Tuition Rewards points for your students to apply to any of the member colleges.

How much does this cost?

Nothing! Nothing! This program is 100% free to families who have elected to meet with a Common Sense Companies Associates for a review of the areas of their expertise. The choice is yours to continue to receive 3,000 points each year on your anniversary date or to receive 5,000 points one time. (1 point = $1.00)

What makes a student eligible?

The student must be a family member (child, grandchild, niece, nephew etc.), and you must register the student by August 31st of the year that the student starts 12th grade. We encourage you to register all of the eligible students in your family as early as possible.

Are there any other important deadlines?

1. Adding Students: You can sponsor any and all students in your immediate and extended family. Students must be registered in Tuition Rewards by August 31st of the year that the student begins 12th grade.
2. Assignment of Points: The annual Tuition Rewards are accrued into your account. You must decide how to assign those points to your students. The last date that you can transfer points to a student is August 31st of the year that your student begins 12th grade. After that date, no points can be added to, or earned directly by, that student.
3. Submitting Points to Colleges: When one of your students applies to one of our member schools, you must submit an electronic Tuition Rewards statement to that school. This must be submitted within ten (10) days of the student's application.
