Saint Joseph's College of Maine, sits on the shore of magnificent Sebago Lake and just a few miles outside award-winning Portland, Maine, offers a career-focused education based in the Mercy Tradition.

Founded in 1912, Saint Joseph's offers courses that strongly encourage community-based learning, internships, and skill building in areas that advance sustainability for humans and the environment. The college has been recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the nation's "Green Schools" and by the Carnegie Foundation as "Community Engaged."

Our community of 1,000 undergraduates on campus and 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students online have access to more than 50 degree programs, as well as to extensive certificate and professional development opportunities. Over 86% of undergraduates live on our nearly 500-acre campus that includes a Freight Farm and the Stone Barn at Sebago Lake agritourism center.

Offering 21 varsity sports, Saint Joseph’s College is a member of the NCAA Division III Great Northeast Athletic Conference. The only NCAA team in the nation to have the mascot "Monks", Saint Joseph's competes among many top-ranked teams and long-time local rivals during the teams' regular seasons, consistently advancing into conference tournament play.

Saint Joseph's is dedicated to the NCAA DIII philosophy of making athletics an integral part of the educational experience, creating an opportunity for student-athletes to become well-rounded individuals. The College also places an emphasis on the primary tenets of the GNAC: Community, Sportsmanship and Integrity.
