Bethel College is a 4-year liberal arts college in south-central Kansas known for academic excellence and a strong tradition of community service. Bethel offers bachelor's degrees in more than 40 areas of study and has an especially strong regional reputation for its professional programs in education, nursing and social work. Bethel has a long tradition of students who go on to complete graduate degrees in medicine and the natural sciences. The college is known for its award-winning instrumental and choral music groups.

The Bethel student body comprises about 500 students from 28 states and 15 countries. Students and alumni consistently rank Bethel high for its committed, caring faculty. A student-faculty ratio of 12:1 means Bethel students get personalized attention from professors who care deeply about their success.

Bethel's 90-acres campus features a creek, wooded trails and open areas, and includes practice and playing fields and facilities for 16 teams in 12 intercollegiate sports. Bethel is located in the small town of North Newton, adjacent to the county seat of Newton and only 25 minutes from Wichita, Kansas' largest city.

Bethel offers opportunities to study abroad in 17 countries. It has an exchange going back more than half a century with Bergische-Universität-Gesamthochschule-Wuppertal in Germany, and new cooperative relationship with Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas (UNICACH) in the state of Chiapas, Mexico.
