SAGE Scholars, Steps Up with $100,000 in
Coronavirus Emergency Relief Funds
Across the country, parents and students alike are taking the necessary precautions to slow the spread ofCOVID-19. SAGE Scholars understands the financial hardships facing millions of students, many of whom are no longer on campus and are unable to earn additional income. To show our support for any student struggling financially, SAGE Scholars is pledging $100,000 in aid to students attending any of our 400 plus member colleges and universities.
Company President, Doctor James B. Johnston explains his decision to give emergency relief, "In times of great challenge like the one we are facing today, it's crucial to remember that we are all in this together. We all need to be asking ourselves how we can work to not only keep ourselves safe, but how we can keep others safe and healthy."
"That is why SAGE Scholars is distributing a total of $100,000 in emergency relief funds to any student attending a SAGE member college or university. Students do not need to be in the SAGE Scholars network to apply for an award amount of up to $250. I want this money to help as many students as possible, so that they can focus on taking classes remotely and doing their best to ensure their academic success when colleges and universities reopen."
Students who want to apply for emergency relief funds need only to contact their school's financial aid office. SAGE Scholars will be sending funds directly to the school, which they can pass along to students.
