William Carey University Joins Tuition Rewards

William Carey University, whose 2,600 undergraduates study at three campuses in two states, today joined the Tuition Rewards program. Founded in 1906 as the Mississippi Women’s College, the now-coed Baptist university was renamed in 2006 in honor of the 18th century Englishman who spent decades performing missionary work in India and earned international recognition as the "founder of modern missions."

All three William Carey campuses – the main campus in Hattiesburg (MS), the expanding campus in Gulfport (MS) and the New Orleans (LA) location – offer a school of nursing. The university also offers schools of arts & letters, business, education, missions & biblical studies, music and natural and behavioral sciences. Five vocal music majors recently received awards at the Mississippi state singing competition. The Lucile Parker Gallery, on the Hattiesburg campus, began with 141 artworks by Miss Parker, a Mississippi artist known for her botanical drawings and paintings and her portrait work.

William Carey Unviersity is one of America’s most affordable private colleges; more than 90% of students receive some type of financial aid.
