Calling All SAGE Scholars High School Seniors - Apply now for an opportunity to earn a $10,000 Dr. James B. Johnston Scholarship

The SAGE Scholars Educational Foundation is delighted to announce the start of our third annual Dr. James B. Johnston Scholarship Essay Competition.

This year SAGE Scholars has committed to providing up to $100,000 in hard dollar scholarships, with a maximum award of $10,000, to SAGE Scholars High School Seniors who submit a winning essay and will attend a member college or university in the fall.

University of Findlay's Department of Communication has added the Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication to its undergraduate degree offerings. "The Organizational Communication BA provides students with the skills and experiential learning necessary to direct any organization through its day-to-day and long-term communication needs in policy, leadership, training, and organizational culture," said Kit Medjesky, Ph.D., assistant professor of communication. Hamline University President Fayneese Miller doubles as leader for NCAA sports

Fayneese Miller isn't shy about using her voice to encourage her athletes. The Hamline University president shows up to watch every team on campus a few times each season, rooting for players she knows by name, major and grade-point average. She's been enthusiastically supporting their larger interests, too, as a member of several NCAA committees in recent years. This month, Miller's voice became even more prominent as the new chair of the Division III Presidents Council.
