Midway University Joins SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards

By SAGE Scholars — April 12, 2021

Midway University, located in the heart of Kentucky's world-famous horse country, has joined the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program. Six Kentucky private colleges are now members.

Midway offers its nearly 700 traditional undergraduate students opportunities on 27 athletic teams, with a choice of more than 30 majors. Business and nursing are the most popular. The healthcare management major has been ranked ##2 in the state and the psychology major ##4. There are three available equine studies majors, including equine rehab.

Midway's campus includes a 200-acre working horse farm. The University's two equestrian teams compete in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. The equestrian facilities include indoor and outdoor riding arenas, a jumping field, a dressage ring, and 70+ acres of pastureland. The Equestrian Center's 105 × 235 foot indoor arena hosts intercollegiate horse shows throughout the year.

Founded in 1847, Midway became a co-ed institution in 2016. The average class size is 17 students. This fall, the University will launch a computer science major. Last year, an e-Sports program debuted. Financial aid is generous, enabling the University’s average net price to cost $300 less than attendance at the University of Kentucky.
