Lubbock Christian University Joins SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards

Lubbock Christian University, whose spectacularly-successful women's basketball team has won three NCAA Division II championships in the past five years, has become the 11th Texas private college to join the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program.

Lubbock Christian (23-0, coached by Steve Gomez, defeated Drury University (MO) in last March's women's basketball championship game, 69-59. LCU also won national titles in 2019 and previously in 2016, capping a 35-0 season. The Lady Chaps enter this winter's season with a 90-1 record in their last 91 games.

Lubbock Christian offers its undergraduates 65 majors, a Scholar's Colloquium and an Honors College. Nursing, business and elementary education are among the most popular majors. Affordable College Online has ranked LCU as the #1 Texas college in "Highest Return on Investment" for bachelor's degrees, based on the lifetime earnings of alumni and average net tuition.

Its commitment to a "green" campus has earned awards for LCU. A newly-renovated, 70,000-foot fitness center is home to 15 intramural sports. 17 varsity sports teams compete in the Lone Star Conference. Lubbock Christian is one of 66 members of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) to participate in Tuition Rewards.
