MidAmerica Nazarene University Joins SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards

MidAmerica Nazarene University opened its doors with five buildings and 263 students on a former Kansas cornfield in 1968. Now a thriving campus with 21 colonial-style buildings, an enrollment of 1,870 students, and nearly 30,000 alumni, MNU has joined the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program. Seven of the nation's eight colleges affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene now participate in the SAGE Consortium, which is limited to private colleges.

MNU's tree-lined, 106-acre campus is located in Kansas' fifth-largest city, Olathe, a 20-minute drive from downtown Kansas City. Students come to MNU from 35 states and 16 countries to attend 40+ undergraduate academic programs. The average class size is 16 for the. Nursing, business and education are the most popular majors.
Niche rates MNU’s nursing program in the top 10% nationally (60th out of 692 colleges). Nursing students complete clinical rotations in several of the region’s top hospitals. In a recent graduating class, 96% of nursing students passed the NCLEX_RN exam on their first try.

MNU's innovative "Pioneer Pledge", a loan repayment assistance program, kicks in if a graduate's annual income is below $40,000. This supports alumni who opt to work in ministries, at non-profits or in public / community service.

The SAGE Consortium now includes 11 Kansas private colleges and 66 Christian colleges.
