From a freshman class of 44 students in 1955, Molloy has grown to serve 3,300 undergraduates (36% first-generation). In recognition of the extensive master’s and Ph.D. programs offered, the New York State Board of Regents recently approved a name change from “Molloy College” to “Molloy University”.
The school’s nursing program has been ranked #1 in New York State and among the top 10% nationally. Molloy also excels in accounting, health sciences, music therapy and special education. A 10:1 faculty-student ratio ensures small classes and personal attention. In 2020, Money Magazine ranked Molloy the #3 “Best Value” among all U.S. colleges. Earnings of graduates are well above the national average — averaging more than $60,000 six years after graduation.
Offering more than 60 student clubs and organizations, Molloy has 19 varsity sports teams that play in the NCAA Division II East Coast Conference.
Molloy is the 11th Dominican-affiliated college to participate in Tuition Rewards. 98 Catholic colleges now participate in The SAGE Consortium;
