Once again paving the way in higher education admissions, SAGE Scholars received more recognition for FastTrak—a program designing college admissions by reimagining the relationship between prospective students and member colleges.
In “Direct Admissions Takes Off,” Inside Higher Ed’s Scott Jaschik recognizes SAGE Scholars FastTrak as part of the growing success of direct admissions. With strong praise from SAGE’s onboarded schools, Jaschik highlights a particular kind of success with Goldey-Beacom, whose president, Colleen Perry Keith, praised SAGE’s FastTrak program.
“Once we began the process of screening students to offer admission, we realized the number of students from which we could choose was much larger than we anticipated. This, of course, is a wonderful problem to have...” She goes on to add, “We want the students to whom we extend offers to know they have been carefully chosen, and are not just one of thousands who have received offers of the ‘To Whom It May Concern’ variety.”
Launched in fall 2022, SAGE Scholars FastTrak program helps to match highly-qualified students with colleges and universities that best suit their needs before they apply. SAGE Scholars is changing the paradigm of college admissions by allowing colleges to apply to students before the admissions process begins. By adding key pieces of information uploaded to their student portal—transcript, GPA, and activities—students are on the FastTrak to admission at our over 440 SAGE Scholars Member Institutions.
