From Duquesne University

It's Time for Bigger Goals! At Duquesne, you'll gain the professional confidence, impressive experience, and powerful networks you need to get a running start on a meaningful career. Duquesne prepares students by having them work alongside faculty to discover and reach their goals.

Duquesne students enjoy a 48-acre campus in the heart of Pittsburgh that-s park-like, secluded, and safe, yet within walking distance of all the opportunities a major city can offer - steps from internships at major corporations, health care systems, schools, sports stadiums, museums, theatres, shopping, cafes and restaurants.

Duquesne is consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report for its quality academic programs and value. The University also is recognized by Forbes as a Best Value and Money Magazine as a Best College for Your Money. Additionally, Niche awarded Duquesne an A+ for Best College Locations and an A for Value for 2024.

In addition to being a SAGE Tuition Rewards Partner, students can earn Duquesne micro-scholarships on Raise.me, Duquesne is a Pittsburgh Promise Preferred Partner,  we offer a PA State Grant Match, and we offer many other resources to make a Duquesne education affordable.

Students represent diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds from every state and 50 countries. Duquesne students choose from 85 future-focused undergraduate majors, leading to bachelor's master's and doctoral degrees, and 110+ graduate and professional programs in business, education, health sciences, law, liberal arts, music, science and engineering, nursing and pharmacy. Undergraduate students can also participate in Pre-Medical and Health Professions, Pre-Law, and Honors College programs. The University opened a new College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2024, becoming the second medical school in Pittsburgh and the first Catholic osteopathic medical school in Pennsylvania.

Neighborhood

Located in Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle neighborhood, Duquesne University sits in the heart of the city's cultural and commercial district, surrounded by world-class museums, theaters, and restaurants within easy walking distance. Students enjoy convenient access to the nearby Strip District for shopping and dining, as well as Point State Park and the riverfront, all while being steps away from downtown's professional sports venues and entertainment options. The urban setting offers a dynamic college experience with the energy of a major city while maintaining the walkable, pedestrian-friendly character of a historic neighborhood.
