Founded in 1913, NNU offers more than 60 areas of study and 18 master's degrees in seven different disciplines. Top majors include nursing, Christian ministry, business, education, social work and biology. U.S. News & World Report and Princeton Review (The Best Western Colleges) recognize NNU as one of the top universities in the West. NNU is fully accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; several departments are accredited by nationally recognized, specialized accrediting boards.

NNU is located in Nampa (population 80,000), which provides a safe, small-town atmosphere just minutes away from Boise (population 200,000), Idaho's state and cultural capital. NNU is within driving distance of the world-renowned Sun Valley ski resort and the breathtaking Snake River Canyon.
