From Delaware Valley University

DelVal has more than 25 undergraduate majors in the natural sciences, business, and humanities. We offer six master's programs, a doctoral degree and several adult education courses. From business and information management and policy studies to Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) and an MBA program, DelVal offers students a wide array of undergraduate degree, graduate degree and continuing education degree programs.

Our university boasts small class sizes, an applied and theoretical approach to learning and individualized attention. Our student-faculty ratio is 14:1, allowing for a very close-knit campus. We encourage an environment where faculty know our students by name, forging strong mentoring relationships with them.

In our required Experience360 program, an experiential learning component of the curriculum, our students learn by doing - a philosophy and a practice ingrained in and tailored to each of the majors we offer. We strive to mobilize all students, staff and faculty to find solutions to the most pressing issues of our time, whether in the classroom or out in the real world. Our school cultivates a community of inspiring, intelligent and imaginative thinkers who can create new initiatives.

Neighborhood

Delaware Valley University's Doylestown campus sits in the heart of a charming historic town with tree-lined streets and easy access to local restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. The area offers a small-town feel with plenty of character, featuring antique stores, galleries, and community gathering spaces that give students a genuine sense of place beyond campus. With proximity to both Philadelphia and the surrounding Bucks County attractions, students enjoy a balanced lifestyle that combines the intimacy of a college town with convenient access to larger city amenities and cultural opportunities.

Mission Statement

We are inspired by the ideals of our founder, who in 1896, emphasized respect for all people and ideas, who honored knowledge with practice, progress and the common good. Our historical commitment to experiential learning integrates theory and practice and prepares undergraduate and graduate students to meet the challenges of a complex global environment and to engage in lifelong learning. We provide students with the requisite skills and a spirit of inquiry that enrich and inform their lives, prepare them to pursue meaningful careers, and fulfill societal, community and family responsibilities.
