The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) seeks to inspire excellence with a personal approach to education and a commitment to academic quality. A private, residential, comprehensive university founded in 1902 and affiliated with the United Methodist Church, the University of Indianapolis welcomes students of many nations and faiths from around the world. Every year, more than 5,400 undergraduate and graduate students benefit from the University's commitment to offering outstanding academic programs in more than 80 undergraduate majors, 27 masters, and 5 doctoral degree programs.

The most popular programs in the undergraduate division include pre-physical therapy, pre-occupational therapy, business, communication, nursing, education, pre-medical studies, psychology and music. The most popular graduate programs are ranked among the finest in the nation, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, business and psychology.

Co-curricular activities are organized through the numerous social, common-interest clubs available to students. The university competes in 23 NCAA Division II sports.
