Founded in 1927, Capitol Technology University is the only independent institution in Maryland focused exclusively in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Cybersecurity and management. We are located on a 52-acre campus in Laurel, MD, one mile from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, 6 miles from NSA Headquarters and only 7 miles outside Washington, DC. Our location gives unique access for networking, internships and jobs at the top entities in technology.

Our average class size is 12. Classes are exclusively professor-taught, giving students the ultimate in one-on-one faculty instruction. Students take major-specific classes from their first semester. Internship opportunities at NASA and elsewhere open as early as second semester of the freshman year.

Capitol’s job placement commitment guarantees a placement within 90 days of graduation - in your field of study and at a competitive salary. The University is a member of the Common Application; there is no fee to apply. The university has a rolling admissions policy.
