From Alverno College

Alverno College is a four-year, liberal arts Catholic college for women with more than 60 programs of study. The student – her learning and her personal and professional development – is the central focus at Alverno. We also offer graduate programs to both women and men. Located in a residential neighborhood on the southwest edge of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Alverno offers easy access to performing arts centers, museums, galleries, entertainment and shopping malls.

Neighborhood

Located in Milwaukee's South Side, Alverno College sits in a residential neighborhood with convenient access to local shops, restaurants, and services along nearby 43rd Street. The area offers a mix of student-friendly dining options and retail establishments within walking distance, creating an accessible environment for those without a car. The surrounding community provides a quieter, more residential feel compared to downtown urban centers, while still maintaining proximity to Milwaukee's broader cultural attractions and entertainment venues.
