At Marywood, we're serious about sustainability. Sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we’re rooted in the Catholic principle of social justice and the belief that education empowers people. Our undergraduate programs promote academic excellence, advance innovative scholarship and foster leadership in service to others, making choices based on spiritual and ethical values.
Located in a suburban setting in Scranton, PA, Marywood offers its 2,000 undergraduates a choice of 63 majors with a focus on architecture, business, education, health professions, psychology and visual and performing arts. The student-faculty ratio is 11:1. Student-athletes choose among 20 competitive and successful intercollegiate varsity teams; in 2015-16, 158 Marywood athletes were named conference all-Academic award-winners, earning GPAs of 3.3 or higher.
There are dozens of clubs and activities, campus media, student government organizations and honor societies to make campus life full and rewarding. From curriculum planning to professional accreditation to career services, Marywood is focused on providing all students with the tools needed for long-term success.
