From Holy Cross College

Holy Cross College (Notre Dame, IN) combines the personal attention of a small college of 500 students with the social, cultural, religious and athletic events of a large university. The 155-acre campus, on the banks of the Saint Joseph River, is adjacent to the University of Notre Dame and to Saint Mary’s College, so Holy Cross students always have something exciting to do.

A four-year, coed liberal arts college founded by the Brothers of Holy Cross in 1966, Holy Cross draws a diverse student population from across the U.S. and from more than 20 countries. Students participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including clubs, service societies, intercollegiate athletics (basketball, lacrosse, cheerleading, golf, baseball, hockey, cross-country and soccer), intramural sports, dances, performances, student government association and campus ministry.

The practical liberal arts curriculum prepares students for a wide variety of careers as well as graduate studies in business, law, education, humanities and social or behavioral sciences. Through faith studies and four core experiential programs -- Service, Internship, International Travel and the Capstone Presentation -- students develop the moral, intellectual, social skills, courage and self-confidence required for success after college.

Neighborhood

Holy Cross College's Notre Dame location offers students easy access to the vibrant cultural and entertainment options of the South Bend area, with nearby restaurants, shops, and recreational activities within a short drive. The campus sits in a residential setting that provides a quieter, more focused academic environment while remaining close enough to downtown South Bend for weekend outings and social opportunities. Students benefit from the proximity to the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College, creating a collegiate community atmosphere with shared resources and cross-campus social events.
