Newman University is a Catholic university named for John Henry Cardinal Newman and founded by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ for the purpose of empowering graduates to transform society.

Located in Wichita, Kansas, Newman serves approximately 2,250 undergraduate and graduate students - ranging from traditional freshmen to transfer students to returning adults. Students enjoy a robust campus life, including music and theatre performances, sporting events, a dedicated campus ministry as well as more than 30 different social and academic clubs. Newman is the only private NCAA Division II school in Kansas. Student-athletes have the best GPAs in the Heartland Conference.

Newman's Science, Nursing and Health Professions programs are among the best in the country, with the Registered Nurse and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs ranked 15 in the nation. Students praise the university's small class sizes, personal attention and the strong, professional relationships built between faculty members. Newman offers more than 70 areas of study, including Business Administration, Education and Theology.

Upon graduation, the University encourages students to live according to the Newman code – in the spirit of critical consciousness by respecting the dignity of every person, honoring personal and institutional integrity and embracing all of humanity.

Newman University's McCormick Avenue location in Wichita offers students convenient access to the surrounding residential neighborhood with nearby shopping and dining options along nearby commercial corridors. The area provides a balance of campus life and local amenities, with easy access to Wichita's downtown entertainment district and cultural attractions just a short drive away. Students will find the setting conducive to both focused academic work and weekend exploration of the broader community.
