Many people are not introduced to the reality of adult life, especially regarding understanding financial health and literacy. Financial illiteracy is not an individual's fault, however. We typically learn knowledge based on the liberal arts, natural sciences, and basic mathematics in grade school. Many universities do not offer workshops on financial literacy and health. Financial health and literacy exposure usually comes through personal financial experiences.
When money is circulating rapidly, and people have found many new ways of obtaining it, financial literacy and health may be better due to inconsistencies in the economy and the impact it is causing. I want to share some things about the economy that you may need to be made aware of and should keep an eye on-especially as a young person exploring the field of finances. The resources that we already use can be reused for financial benefit.
To begin, young people experience higher levels of debt than in previous years due to credit card debt rather than college debt. Again, no fault of their own. Their circumstances are mostly due to what they endure in society, such as low wages and high-demand work, devotion to paying bills and maintaining their homes, having children, and inflation. Everything, including rent, groceries, clothes, and other bills and accessories, is at a much higher price than it has ever been. If you plan to take out a credit card, make sure to explore all of your options to choose a plan that is within your financial boundaries. Choosing a harsh credit card plan to get out of a hole will only dig you deeper into the hole you were trying not to dig into. A credit card plan should not have you in a tougher financial predicament than you already have.
Because inflation has been taking over the economy and people are looking for jobs to keep pace with the rising prices, money is a necessity. Essential workers have returned to their primary jobs because many companies are not keeping up with the needs of their workers. The workers have some wage increases, but more is needed to be satisfied with the conditions inflation has made. To make up for this compensation, many essential workers began finding their niches to obtain new revenue streams. The niche came from restaurants, educational services and programs, social media outlets, freelancing opportunities, and self-exposure to various arts. I recommend you find your craft and share it with the world. As it gains popularity, make your stance on its worth and seek the financial benefits by encompassing all aspects of that niche to share with people.
You may feel unsure of your niche and its ability to make you financially comfortable, but no one does you better than you. The hard part about being you is trying to have someone else do it for you. Being authentic in yourself will allow the audience for your niche to find you. You'd be surprised at what people wish they had options and availability for. Some may be too expensive, unknown, or nonexistent. Your niche may be affordable, popular, and persist for a long time. Just believe in yourself and make the most of your niche.
Financial literacy is not well taught to people due to the priority of other subjects in grade school. Outside of university programs, workshops, and seminars, financial health and literacy education is difficult to find. Many people need consistent expectations and depictions of how to be financially healthy and literate due to societal issues that require much more than a few dollars increase in wages and pay.
Young people have turned their attention to credit cards to pull themselves from holes of debt, but considerations of credit card plans have caused more harm than help. Fortunately, after the pandemic, people began finding new and better ways to make money by sharing things that are extensions of themselves. Every person should find something in themselves that they can see sharing with someone else for an honest living. It is a time of personal growth and prosperity in the wake of this economic crisis. I hope this helps you to become comfortable and thoughtful of your niche and how to generate profit from it.
