SAGE Scholars Advisory Council Explores Deeper Use of Connections Between Families and Member Colleges to Boost College Enrollment Efficiency
The leadership of the SAGE Scholars Advisory Council is focusing on new procedures and priorities to expand opportunities for students and families to access an affordable private college education.
At a two-day meeting in Philadelphia last week, council members explored new technologies, enrollment trends, creative recruitment programs, and admissions ideas aimed at helping students find their ideal college fit.
"Zeroing in on the most attractive yet affordable private college education in today's world of uncertainties is a serious challenge to families with high school students," said James Johnston, president and founder of 30-year-old SAGE Scholars. "But our Advisory Council members represent some of the most experienced and creative minds in higher education, and together, I am confident we will develop realistic and efficient solutions to address accessibility and affordability concerns."
Advisory Council members represent a broad spectrum of higher education leadership, encompassing seasoned enrollment leaders, financial aid experts, and education professionals from member institutions nationwide. Added Dr. Johnston: "This was an exceptionally productive and energizing meeting. Their feedback will definitely assist the SAGE Scholars team in refining our offerings and strengthening our partnerships with our nearly 450 private colleges and universities, and help us stay focused, forward-thinking, and family-centered in assisting students to select the college that best meets all their needs."
